Narrow Ridge is a nonprofit organization in northern Grainger County with a focus on conservation, sustainable living, and nature-based programs. Narrow Ridge offers experiential programs that emphasize immersion in nature and sustainable living; eco-lodging; and community events. Narrow Ridge's conservation efforts include four community land trusts, 150 acres of wilderness, a pollinator field, American Chestnut orchard, and Natural Burial Preserve. Narrow Ridge holds its annual Hogskin History Day festival each fall which celebrates the music, culture and crafts of local folks in the Hogskin Valley and surrounding area. The festival includes live music, food, children's activities, craft vendors, and tours of Narrow Ridge sustainable buildings and Natural Burial Preserve. Hogskin History Day 2024 will be held on September 28. Admission is free.
